What is Covered?
• Understanding the different camera modes and settings
• Understanding the concept of the "Exposure Triangle"
• Composition and framing your images
To attend this lesson it is important that:
• Participants have a good understanding on how to change basic camera settings (if you really don't understand how to use your camera please book a one-on-one private lesson below where we can take things a little slower and I can guide you through the settings).
What Will I Need?
• DSLR or Mirrorless camera
• Fully charged battery
• You may want to bring a small notebook if that helps you learn.
What can I expect during a photography session?
During the session, my goal is to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience. I’ll guide you through the camera settings and compositional aspects required to create great images.
Who is this photography workshop for?
For participants with a DSLR / Mirrorless Camera. This is not suitable for compact ‘point and shoot’ cameras or smartphones.

INTERMEDIATE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
This workshop is designed for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of photography and wanting to enhance their creative skills. It will help you gain confidence in using your camera and introduce you to using manual settings. It will delve into the four key concepts that make a good image: subject, composition, lighting and timing and how to put them together. This workshop will give you the skills to capture images in different settings. The small group (max. 6 people) allows you to practice your photography in a relaxed environment. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from an experienced photographer sharing her insights and tips to help you take your photography to the next level!

ONE-ON-ONE PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY LESSON
These sessions are a highly personalised 1:1 opportunity for you to gain help with whatever you need. I can tailor the session however you like.
Some suggestions from topics covered with past clients are:
Starting on the basics - camera settings and learning to compose in Auto mode
Learning about the Exposure Triangle: shutter speed, aperture and ISO
Moving off Auto and mastering the other camera settings
Mastering Manual
Composition, rule of thirds, depth of field
Exposure and mastering the histogram
The importance of shooting ‘raw’ rather than ‘jpeg’
Lighting and making the most of natural light in different scenarios. Shooting in low light and reducing noise in your images
Understanding the different settings used for different genres eg landscape, travel, low light
Dynamic Range and how to take High Dynamic Range (HDR) images
Learning about Black and White photography
Critiquing your images to develop your photography
Editing your images in Adobe Lightroom

The registration is not complete if the payment hasn't been made
My workshops can fill up quickly so I recommend you to secure your spot at your earliest convenience
You will receive a confirmation email 1- 4 days after payment has been made
Before the workshop begins you will receive an email with workshop information
Cancellations - you can cancel your workshop booking at any time up to one week prior to the workshop day to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within one week prior to the workshop will be liable for a 50% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the workshop.
The workshop is weather dependent. A weather check is done before the workshop, and if rain prevents the start of the experience, it will be postponed to another suitable time. I will contact you via text that day to advise that the workshop will not be on. Otherwise, you should assume the workshop will operate as scheduled.
